Thomas W. Carroll

Thomas W. Carroll of Sleepy Hollow for 33 years Funeral mass for Thomas W. Carroll will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 845 W. Main Street, West Dundee. Born January 3, 1930, in Long Beach, Calif., he died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at his home. Interment will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. Thomas was a successful executive in the machine tool industry for 44 years. He retired in 1995 from CRL Industries, Inc., in Bannockburn, where he was the president and chief operating officer. In retirement, he was active in "Score", an organization of retired executives who counsel small businesses. He was the beloved husband of Jane (nee Flynn); loving father of Chuck (Lisa) Carroll, Mary (Fred) Campobasso, Thomas Jr., Lucy (Eric) Landwehr, John (Jodie) and Patrick (Monica) Carroll, and Nancy (Danny) Meyers; grandfather of Isabelle Carroll, Geena, Jessica, Molly and Nicholas Campobasso, and Eleanor and Grace Landwehr; brother of the late James (Brim) Carroll and Jane Poxon; and the uncle of many. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. on today at the Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main Street, West Dundee, and from 9 a.m. Thursday, until the time of services, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Catherine of Siena Church or the Community Crisis Center.
