I Remember Billy
I remember a heart of gold that was always filled to the brim
I remember the best of times whenever I was with him
I remember the checker games and all his silly jokes
I remember how'd he say "corn" whenever one was hokes
I remember the laughter that he always seemed to bring
I remember the joy I felt around him, my heart would always sing
I remember the way he'd say "we’re kissin cousins you know"
I remember one winter playing with him in the snow
I remember Billy as sweet and kind and good
He always took care of family first as any good man would
I remember how loving a son he was to his dad and mom
How when he entered a room the air would seem to calm
I remember a gentle man whose love is with us still
And love is what I remember most when I remember Bill
