It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shane Richard "Ricky" Decker, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, who left us on September 3, 2024, at the young age of 53. Ricky's life, though too brief, was one of remarkable warmth and courage, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Born on August 24, 1971, to Calvin and Laura Decker (Winters), Ricky was known for his kind heart and his unwavering love for his family. As a young man, he earned the nickname "Sticky Ricky" in the world of bull riding, where his tenacity and skill on the rodeo circuit earned him respect and admiration. Although sometimes as stubborn as the bulls he rode, his passion for the sport was matched only by his dedication to those he loved. He was married in 1997 to Lisa Kyger, and they had two beautiful children together. Even though they later divorced, they were able to remain friends.

Ricky's greatest pride was his family. He was a devoted father, cherishing every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, providing them with endless love and support. His generosity extended beyond his immediate family to all those who were fortunate enough to call him a friend. Ricky's laughter, kindness and infectious spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Ricky's legacy will be carried on through the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared. His presence may be gone, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother Laura, brother Rocky, along with a niece, nephew and grandparents.

He is survived by his father, Cal Decker; son, Tanner Lane Decker; daughter, Kaylee Decker (Kiel Bicha); 4 grandchildren: Kinley, Kalvin, Kora, and Kolten; siblings: Kevin Decker, Clint Decker, Shawn Decker (Jana), Brent Decker, Shanda Armstrong (Jason), and Justin Decker; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember him fondly.
