LABADIE - Robert A. Heisel, Bob, Labadie, MO, passed away October 24, 2006, at St. Johns Mercy Medical Center, Creve Coeur, MO, after a courageous 21 year battle with prostate cancer.
Bob was born February 19, 1934, the son of Robert J. and Viola Heisel. He was married July 24, 1954, to Mary Frances Smith. Bob was the owner of Heisel Equipment Co., Labadie, MO and Heisel Farms, Labadie and Caledonia, MO. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bill and Michael Heisel.
He is survived by his wife Mary Frances, three children, Larry A. and wife Cathy Turner Heisel, Belgrade, MO, Jane and huband Steve Neier, Union, MO, and Mark A. and wife Pam Miller Heisel, Farmington, MO. Seven grandchildren, Julie Heisel Loughary and husband Cody Loughary, Belgrade, MO, Jeremy Heisel, Belgrade, MO, Megan Neier, Union, MO, Shannon Neier and fiance Rick Lindeman, Cape Girardeau, MO and Erin Neier, Union, MO, Jamie Heisel Brune and husband Dustin Brune, Farmington, MO, and Jenny Heisel, Farmington, MO, and two great-grandchildren Carson and Carlie Lynn Loughary, Belgrade, MO. Two sisters, Darlene Heisel Kossina and husband Lou Kossina, Mary Heisel Straatmann and husband Walter Straatmann. Seven brothers, James K. and wife Joan Heisel, David L. and wife Karen Heisel, Gary D. and wife Sharon Heisel, Ed and wife Marilyn Heisel, Richard Heisel, John Heisel, and Steve and wife Penny Heisel. One brother-in-law, J.B. Smith, Ponca City, OK. Many nieces and nephews.
Vistitation will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 1206 Jefferson Street, Washington, MO, Friday, October 27, 2006 from 3-8 p.m. A celebration of Bob's life will be held Saturday, October 28, 2006, at 2 p.m. at the Belgrade United Methodist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery.
