David Kilpatrick Obituary

David Kilpatrick of Malvern Dave (aka Pap, Pappy, Pop-Pop) Kilpatrick, of Malvern, passed away on December 12, 2011 surrounded by all his family at the young age of 95. He was born at home in Malvern on January 16, 1916, to David and Edith Mae Gottier and was the last remaining of 11 children. Dave's loving wife, Frances Theresa McCallion, passed away on November 20, 2002 after 65 wonderful years together. Dave and Fran had three loving daughters, Bonnie (husband Harry Siravo), Sandra (husband Allen Hughes, deceased) and Gaila (husband Richard Ross, deceased), all of whom loved and adored him. Dave leaves five grandchildren, David Siravo and wife Peggy, Patricia and husband Jim Smith, Lynn and husband Erik Nelton, Kimberly Chytla and Richard Ross and Marie Berry, along with 10 great-grandchildren, David Siravo Jr. and wife Martine, Michael Siravo, Jeffery Smith, Bryan Smith and fiancee Laura Spressor, Stacey Smith, Bradly Smith, Sabrina Ross, Donald Doan, Alyssa Nelton, Heather Nelton and Keith Nelton. Dave's extended family included Mary Malinowski, Keith Hines, David Tarloski and Marylou Tarloski. Dave also leaves many nieces and nephews, all of whom he enjoyed being with. Dave was a 1934 graduate of Radnor High School where he played baseball and basketball. Dave started work for Bishop Tube of Malvern after he graduated from school, and retired from there in 1978. He also worked part time for Chester Valley Country Club as a grounds keeper after retirement. Dave loved to participate in sports; he played ball in Devault and softball for the Presbyterian Church in Paoli. He belonged to Sportsmans Beagle Club, Malvern Hunting Camp, Malvern Golf Course, Bishop Bowling League and Bishop Golf League. He would officiate at high school football and basketball games. Of all the sports he played, he loved his golf the most. David's Life Celebration Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 16, with a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at Mauger/Givnish Funeral Home, 24 Monument Ave., Malvern. The world lost a special man tonight. A man who loved his family with no exceptions, lived life to fullest, and fought to the very end. He touch many lives and will be deeply missed. Rest in peace Pop-Pop Kilpatrick. This world, the next, then the fireworks! Hope the golf courses are green in heaven!
