Jacob Paulson Obituary

Jacob R. ‘Jake’ Paulson of West Chester Jacob R. “Jake” Paulson, 75, a longtime resident of West Bradford Township, formerly of Glenolden, Pa., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 at Chester County Hospital with his family at his side. He was the beloved husband of Grace Paulson, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Walter F. and Hannah Rivell Paulson. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Virginia G. Little (Harry), Pamela J. Barranco, Lance J., and Wendy L. Paulson-Warmijak (Arthur). He is survived by his sister, Adeline Welsh; grandchildren, Joseph, Heather, Hannah, and Chad; and great-grandchildren, William, Joseph and Daisy. Jake was the founder of Paulsonbilt Limited, a family owned and run business, and was still active with the company at the time of his passing. Jake loved his family. He dirt track raced years ago with his brother. He enjoyed watching sports and loved boating and fishing. He raised Haflinger horses and lately he found most joy from being with his family, watching cowboy movies and exchanging stories about his life. A visitation with the family will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. Funeral and interment services will be private. Jake was like this larger life John Wayne man to me. I knew always what was on his mind. He spoke to me at times like I was a son. Sharing life and stories and business. To the Paulson's I know and those I don't I am truly sad and will miss Jake and have been privileged to know the man and have many many fond stories and memories.

To all of those that knew Jake Paulson: he was cared about by so many people, family, friends and acquaintances. I know that he was all about his family. I last spoke with him at Billys baseball game that he came to. He talked about how great the great grandkids were. He spoke of how he loved having everyone at the river house and watching kids play with the blocks in front of him, also the fun everyone had on the boat . he asked me why I never came up...I told him I would when it got warmer out so I could catch tan too, lol. NEVER put off anything that u can do now ,,, you may wait too late and not be able to have the chance again. I am sorry that I didn't come up that day Jake! we had a few great conversations when we met up at Billy and Heathers house. You will definitely be missed!! Daisy and Billy will always remember being at the river with you. my family will never forget you, you will always be in our hearts. Tina Miller
