Emily, Gail and family! Thinking of you at this time! I didn't know him but I wish that I had reading what a unique and charismatic person that he was when remembered by your friends! Peace!

My deepest sympathy to everyone. He was a good man, and quite a character.

Growing up in Glenhardie Farms, I spent many happy hours with my best friend Debbie at the Barnett house. In my childhood I called Ken "Mr. Barnett", and I always remember his cheerful "Hello, CYN-thia" that he would great me with.
In adulthood I called him Ken, and really got to know his personality and infectious sense of humor in the hours he spent with my father John, playing golf, and enjoying the "19th Hole" after a round on the course. One time he went to Hilton Head with my father, my close friend Steve and me for a week of golfing. I don't think I ever enjoyed the game more than on that vacation. Ken's upbeat personality made even the most grueling round fun. His friendship with my father was unique, as he consistently teased my Dad in the most fun way, and got him to lighten up and relax when he would get on his high horse about something. I learned a lot from Ken, about how to interact with people and bring out the best in them. It was an honor to have him speak at my Dad's memorial service in 2007. He was my Dad's best friend, and buddy.
Debbie, Gail, Ken Jr., and Marfy I hope you know what a positive influence your Dad had on all who knew him. He truly spread joy wherever he went. I'm sorry I didn't get to see him again before his passing, but I will forever remember him in the warmest part of my heart.
Sincerely,
Cyndy Hall
