Lawrence Boddy Obituary

Lawrence W. Boddy Jr. of Oxford Lawrence W. Boddy, Jr., 64, of Oxford, passed on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Jennersville Regional Hospital, West Grove. He was the husband of the late Brenda Jones Boddy. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Lawrence U., Sr. and Virginia Stafford Boddy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. Lawrence was formerly employed with NVF, Kennett Square as production manager. He was a member and past treasurer of Bread of Life Family Worship, Chester. He enjoyed gardening, photography, art work and woodworking. He is survived by two daughters, Kathy N. Stringer and her husband, Joshua of Oxford and Tania D. Boddy of Exton; two grandchildren, Floyd Jones and Jaden Stringer; three brothers, Kerry Boddy of West Grove, Allen Boddy of Oxford and Jeffrey Boddy of Oxford; one sister, Shirley Boddy of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. His Home Going Service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, February 17, at Mary Dod Brown Memorial Chapel, Lincoln University, where friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Oxford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be directed to Kathy Stringer, 231 Township Rd., Oxford, PA 19363. Funeral arrangements by the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., Oxford.
