Willie Longshore Obituary
Willie F. Longshore, 92, of Massillon, passed away March 16, 2026. Born in 1933 to Ella Pearl Longshore, Willie was a 1952 National Champion Massillon Tiger. A U.S. Army veteran who served as an illustrator, he earned degrees from Miami University, Lincoln University, and Kent State. He retired as Chair of the Photography and Cinema Department at The Ohio State University.
A man of many interests, Willie was a private pilot, charter boat captain, real estate broker, and dedicated Rotarian. He was preceded in death by his mother and sister, Ruby. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret, children, Jody and Beth, and grandchildren Ella, Julia, and Margaret.
Services to be held at a later date. Donations in his honor may be made to the Massillon Museum ,121 Lincoln Way E, Massillon, OH 44646
