Ruth Kring Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes- Holt Delhi Chapel on Feb. 25, 2026.
In Loving Memory of our Mother, Ruth Kring

May 16, 1941 – January 27, 2026

Ruth was a longtime and faithful member of Capitol City Baptist Church, where she built lasting

friendships and shared her warm spirit with everyone she met. Her church family meant so much to

her, and she was blessed to walk alongside so many dear friends in faith.

She had a lifelong love of reading and a remarkable talent for sewing - a skill she practiced with

patience, creativity, and care. Ruth also enjoyed traveling and carried a sense of curiosity and

appreciation for the world around her. She was also gifted in music, playing the accordion and

teaching others, bringing joy to many through her talent.

Many knew her through her years of dedicated work as a waitress at Casa Nova and Emils, were

her kindness and welcoming smile made people feel right at home. Serving others wasn't just her

job - it was part of who she was. Cooking for others was one of Ruth's greatest joys.

She lovingly prepared meals, catered events,

and brought people together around the table. To her, food was an expression of love, and no one

ever left her presence hungry - in body or in spirit.

Above all, Ruth's greatest treasure was her family. Her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren

were her pride and joy, and she considered each one her greatest blessing. She

delighted in family gatherings, believing the more people, the more laughter, and the more love to

share. Her life was a beautiful example of faith, service, generosity, and devotion to family. Though we will

miss our mother deeply, we rejoice in the memories, traditions, and love she leaves behind in all of

us. A private memorial service will be held with family and close friends . While the gathering will be

intimate, your love, prayers and cherished memories mean so much to our family.

In lieu of flowers , those who wish may honor her memory with a donation to Capitol City Baptist

Church or Capitol Area Humane Society.

"With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation." - Psalm 91:16 (KJV)
