Ronald M "Ronnie" Longshore

Ronald "Ronnie" M. Longshore, age 82, of Canton, Georgia died December 30, 2025 at home of natural causes. Mr. Longshore, originally from Sand Rock, Alabama, moved to the Atlanta area after graduating from Sand Rock School in 1961. He worked as a meat packer, with an elevator company and in the construction of prefab homes. Mr. Longshore worked 11 years, full time, at General Motors building cars while he began roofing houses. He later built and ran a very successful roofing business for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Williams Longshore; his son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Cheryl Longshore of Bluffton, S.C; his daughter, Deana Lynn Longshore Gasway, of Canton, GA; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Kathleen Longshore of Woodstock, GA; his daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Karl Stephens of Savannah, GA; his son, Andrew Longshore Bailey; his grandchildren Rodrick Longshore of Woodstock, GA, Logan Gasaway of Ball Ground, GA, Sterling Stephens of Savannah, GA, Violet Bailey of Cumming, GA, and his sister, Emma Gravitt of Scottsboro, AL; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Spud Lovett; brother, Bob Longshore; brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Frances Longshore; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Burl Gilliland; sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Melvin Tucker; brother-in-law, Jim Gravitt; and brother, Jimmy Longshore. There will be a Celebration of Life January 10, 2026 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at 710 Sweet Gum Way, Canton, GA. Dress is casual.
