Sarah Thomas Obituary

Sarah Beth Thomas of Unionville Sarah Beth Thomas, 29, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the Christiana Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones. She died as the result of a tragic accident on Sunday, May 27, while doing what she loved most, riding a horse. She was the daughter of Victor M. Thomas and Diane Bova Thomas of Unionville. Sarah was a 2001 graduate of Unionville High school and a 2005 graduate of Penn State University where she earned a BS in animal science. Sarah had a variety of interests and participated in Quizo, kickball, yoga and West African dance when she wasn't busy training her own horses. Sarah was known for her infectious smile and her sunny disposition. Always the life of any gathering, she will be forever missed. Survivors include, in addition to her parents, three sisters, Michelle Muscatell and her husband Gary of Whitinsville Mass., Debra Thomas and Brenda Handy of Denver Colo. and Anna Thomas Ryan and her husband Phil of Philadelphia; and two aunts, Jo Ann Willison of Kennett Square and Joanne Marshall of Watertown, Mass. You are invited to visit with Sarah's family at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Salt Pony Farm, 2019 Lenape-Unionville Rd., Kennett Square, PA 19348, to celebrate her life. Contributions in her memory may be made to either the American Steeplechase Injured Jockey Fund at Lee and Mason Financial Attention: Georgia, PO Box 270 Northville, NY 12134 or to Neural Stem Cell Institute NSCI, One Discovery Drive, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
