I am so saddened by this news. I have many happy memories growing up next door to the Darlington's in west chester. Terry was always making us kids work for our keep. He is someone who always made things fun, even when he would take us to the track and make us run miles and do relays up the bleacher steps. I will always remember the best 4th of July parties and the horse shoes he and my dad would play. He was the kind of person that you could go years without seeing, bump into him and it felt like it was just yesterday. I will always have such great memories of the man who always had a smile on his face and certainly made an impact on me. Terry, may you rest in peace and every time I see fireworks I will think of you❤❤❤

ANOTHER MEMORY OF TERRY,JUST CAME TO MIND. ONE SUMMER, TERRY FOUND AN OLD THICK METAL CABLE LIKE A WINCH CABLE. HE GOT THE IDEA TO TIE IT UP IN TREE IN THE WOODS BY HIS FAMILY HOME. WE ALL WERE AMAZED HE COULD TIE A KNOT IN SUCH A LARGE DIAMETER CABLE. FOR MANY YEARS, WE ENJOYED THIS HIGH SWING. IT WAS THE "GO TO" PLACE FOR US KIDS. WE DIDN'T NEED TO WATCH SUPERMAN ON TV, WE HAD THE SUPER STRONG TERRY DARLINTON TO IMPRESS US WITH HIS ACTIONS.

TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF TERRY, IJUST FOUND OUT ABOUT TERRY, MY CONDOLENCES.HE WAS A GREAT AND FUNNY PERSON. AS A YOUNG BOY, GROWING UP AS HIS NEIGHBOR HE WOULD LINE MYSELF AND OTHER KIDS IN A MILITERY, STANDPRETEND TO BE OUR DRILL SERGENT. HE WOULD SAY WIPE THAT SMILE OFF YOUR FACE AND OF COURSE WE COULD NOT STOP LAUGHING ..HE ALLWAYS MADE ME LAUGH WHEN I SAW HIM. TRULY ONE OF A KIND. WHAT I REALLY REMEMBER MOST ABOUT HIM WAS HE TALKED TO EVERY BODY THE SAME, NO HOLDING BACK HOW HE THOUGHT ABOUT THINGS.

Terry and I grew up together in Malvern, playing in the Monument Grounds and at Hague's Farm.
I have fond memories of Terry and his brothers and their Parents.
Terry was a proud Father and Grandfather and would always show me current photos of his Family when our paths would cross through the years and we would just stop and talk and spend some time together.
Terry was larger than Life in many ways and it is difficult to believe that he is now Gone.
My condolences and love to his Family; Terry was a unique and loving Man and will be certainly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
