Thomas J. “Cat” Langan of Garnet Valley, Pa. Thomas J. “Cat” Langan, Sr., 86 of Garnet Valley, PA died Monday, June 15, 2015 at Maris Grove in Glen Mills. He was the husband of Lorraine Petrucci Langan. Born April 11, 1929 in Coatesville, Pa. he was the son of the late Francis Langan and the late Rose Treston Langan. Cat was a graduate of Coatesville High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953. Cat had worked as a custodian for West Chester Henderson High School, where he retired after 25 years of service. He was known for meticulously lining Henderson’s athletic fields. He was a member of St. Agnes Church of West Chester, Pa. Cat was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1333 of West Chester, where he was a bartender for over 20 years. He was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Chester County Assembly #1873. He was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan. In addition to his wife, Cat is survived by his sons Thomas J. Langan, Jr. of New York, N.Y.; David M. Langan (Wendi) of Glen Mills; grandchildren, Justin & Amanda; and siblings Patrick Langan and Rosemary Carr, both of Coatesville. He was preceded in death by brother, Francis Langan.
