Alice Shinkle Obituary

Alice D Shinkle, born September 6, 1920, died August 15, 2025, at 104 she was 22 days from her 105th birthday. She joins her husband, George H Shinkle; her father and mother and all her brothers and sisters in heaven. She is survived by, two children, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her children are Kurt Shinkle; his wife, Myra Shinkle and Ann S Harris; her ex. John M Harris. Her grandchildren; Catherine H Higginbotham, her husband, Robert Higginbotham, George M Harris, and Andrew C Harris. Her great grandchildren; Samatha, Izabelle and Olivia Higginbotham. Along with several nieces and nephews and great Nieces and Nephews. She grew up in New York Mills MN on a dairy farm and attended Nursing School at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She met her husband, George Shinkle, at that time she selflessly took her role as wife and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her devotion to her God and Church was an example of un-wavered faith. She served her church and community wherever needed with her quiet, selfless nature with strength and enduring patience. She touched many lives in her 104 years and will be missed by all that loved her. You may send flowers, donate in her name to the Catholic Charities in your area or the church of your choice.

I worked with Alice in the Ministry of the sick at Church of the Holy Spirit. She was the most caring and loving Lady. She taught me so much by her loving and prayerful life. God Bless her.
