Charles Smith Obituary

Charles David Smith, 67, of Oakland, TN, passed away on September 3, 2025. Charles had a heart of gold, a deep love for his family, and a steadfast faith in the Lord. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching sermons, and fixing things. He especially cherished his daily calls to his mother, Lillian Smith, and carried an unmatched love for his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his mother, Lillian Smith; his children, April (Rob) Glosson and Daniel (Cassie) Smith; and his grandchildren, William (8) and Kaylee (6) as well as three sisters, Cathy Clay of Memphis, TN, Nancy Jackson (Harold) of Linden, TN, and Valerie Nelson (Bill) of Williston, TN. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 9:00–10:00 a.m. with services to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home, 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
