Charlie Springer Obituary
Charlie was born November 15, 1949 in Somerville, Tennessee, the son of the late Charlie Thomas Springer, Sr. and Allie B. German Springer. He attended Fayette County High School and met the love of his life, Phyllis Kennon. Charlie and Phyllis have been married for 56 years and enjoyed life to the fullest. Charlie enjoyed horses and horseback riding in different states with his friends, fishing, hunting, camping and side by side rides with family and friends. He loved people, loved life, but most of all, he loved his family.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Phyllis Springer for 56 years; his son, Charlie T. "Tommy" Springer, III (Sheri) of Somerville; his daughter, Melissa Tatum (Charles) of Somerville; four grandchildren, Melony Springer Tomlin (Wilson), Madison Pardue (Josh), Hunter Springer and Cody Springer; three great grandchildren, Mills Thomas Tomlin, Louanna Tomlin and Owen Finley Pardue; two sisters, Patsy Harvey and Linda Palmer; and his brother, Murry L. Springer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Thomas Kee and his brother, Phillip Springer.
Funeral Services for Charlie were held at 11 A.M. Monday, August 19, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. David Reeves officiating. Remarks were given by Bill Rhea. Interment followed in Hood Cemetery in the Warren Community.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Charlie T. "Tommy" Springer III, Charles Tatum, Josh Pardue, Wilson Tomlin, Wesley Parks and Bradley Moore. Honorary Pallbearers were George Benson, Jeff Davis, Donnie Hughes, David Boswell, Gary McCaskill, Brady Palmer, Randy Walk, Rob Rhea, Mark Doyle and Bob Doyle.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Hood Cemetery Fund, c/o Judy Sides, 1005 Sides Dr., Moscow, TN 38057.
