David Zanone Obituary

David Cleveland Zanone III, 82, of Fort Myers, Florida, died of a long-term illness on Saturday, February 4 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, Florida.

He was born on June 28, 1940, in Memphis, Tennessee. He is the son of the late David C Zanone Jr. and Dorothy Williams Zanone. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia (Hawkins), his children Katherine, Stephen (Julie), and Patrick (Deborah) Zanone, and six grandchildren. He is also survived by three siblings, Mary Agnes Harris of Memphis, TN, Dr. Michael Zanone, and Kathleen Patterson both of Germantown, TN.

Dave was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School, Christian Brothers University, served in the Tennessee Air National Guard and graduated with a master's in clinical psychology, from the University of Memphis. He was employed as a Psychologist for the Memphis City Schools before moving to Wynne, Arkansas to open Dave Zanone Jewelers.

Mr. Zanone was a devout Catholic and a communicant at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. He was dedicated to helping others and served as a member of the Knights of Columbus and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be sent to the St. Vincent de Paul Ian Fund at St Cecilia Catholic Church, 5632 Sunrise Dr. Fort Myers, Florida, 33919
