Raymond Buring Obituary
He graduated from Central High School and University of Memphis. He was Human Resource Manager for Buring Food Group for 20 years. Owner and manager of Eastgate Cleaners for 14 years. He was a retired Dry Cleaner and retired Professional Caregiver. Past Board Member of Jewish Community Center, Riverview Kansas Community Day Care Center, Alzheimer Day Care, Paul & Leslie Belz B'Nai Brith. He was a volunteer at Memphis Botanic Gardens, Temple Israel's God's Unfinished Business, Synergy Foundation, Lifeblood, 24-gallon donor, and Collierville Literacy Council.
He is survived by his children, Melissa B. McKessy and her fiancé Barney Pepper, Major Jonas L. (Natalie) Buring, USMC retired, and Emily B. Vander Wert; and his long-time girlfriend/companion, Theresa Balestrino. He was predeceased by his brother, Jerry Buring and is survived by his brother, Arthur (Mickey) Buring. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Stark and Quint Miller, Chloe and Josh McKessy, Riley and Isabelle Buring and Sofie Vander Wert.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at The Levy-Cooper Chapel in Temple Cemetery.
The family requests memorials be sent to Anshei Sphard Synagogue or Temple Israel.

Such a nice man, Raymond was the best operating the dry cleaners in Eastgate Shopping Center, always a smile & a kind greeting. Sympathy to his family & loved ones.
