Robert Wardlow Obituary

Robert Leon Wardlow, a lifelong hunter and fisherman and beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather they call Papa, died unexpectedly on November 15, 2023. He was 87 yrs old. He taught his family the love of camping and the love of the great outdoors. He was a Navy Veteran that proudly served on the USS Ticonderoga. He owned and operated Wardlow's Garage for over 50 yrs where he worked until the day he died.

He was a tinkerer and loved to repair cars, trucks and boats or anything with a flicker of life left in it.

He was a defender of the underdog and helped many that were "down in their luck". He loved a family gathering and cooked some of the best ribs ever cooked in the South. His biscuits and gravy were from scratch and the real deal.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Ola Mae Wardlow, two sisters Joy Evans and Sue White. His wife Barbara and son Tommy. His survivors include his son and best friend in the world Billy, his daughter Kim Kirkland (Kerry), and daughter Connie Thorne (Kirby). Brother Jerry Jane) Grandchildren Lauren Patterson (Andrew), Matthew Kirkland (Meredith), Justin Thorne (Carrie), Samantha Wilkinson (Bryant), Great grands are Greer, Graham and Wells Patterson. Jase and Acree Thorne and Riley and Kendall Wilkinson (arrival expected Nov. 20th. 2023).

The family will receive relatives and friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home,6755 Highway 51 North Millington, TN. 38053, November 18, 2023, with visitation at 9 am and Service at 10 am.
