Vanessa Pyatt Obituary

Vanessa Marie (Arispe) Pyatt, 49 of Collierville, TN was called to her heavenly home on March 7, 2023, after a 5-year battle with Melanoma.

Vanessa was someone who always gave 100% to whatever she worked on from working at Dairy Queen in high school to being a Lease Accountant at FedEx. From a young age she always wanted to be a Tupperware Lady and she achieved her goal and so much more.

Vanessa went to college at Mississippi State University, where she majored in accounting, made a bunch of lifelong friends, and met her husband over a game of Hearts.

Vanessa was a wonderful wife, sister, and daughter. She always put others first in her life. She was the love of our life – our emotional support and cheerleader. Even to the end, she wanted us to be happy, to live on, to take what she taught us, and share with others. She was the light of our life.

Vanessa loved her children and made sure to be involved. She was always a volunteer for room mother, PTA treasurer, Scout treasurer, and school carpool driver. She would support her boys in Scouts even when there were too many bugs. She made sure they had a chance to play music as she had always wanted to. Being there for them when they fell down, needed help with homework, and fell ill.

Vanessa was a great friend, who always wanted to know what was going on in your life; was always ready for a game of Bunco, Monopoly, Sorry, Uno or a puzzle. She enjoyed Book club even if reading the books themselves made her fall asleep (audiobooks were a lifesaver). She impacted our lives and showed us what it meant to be a true friend by inviting her friends to be family.

Vanessa was into crafting and created beautiful handmade cards and scrapbooks. She was always learning to do more. She wanted us to enjoy her hobbies with her and would find ways for everyone to craft with her by making projects we could also do, teaching us how to use her supplies, and hanging out in her craft room.

Vanessa loved new recipes and was a great baker. She made homemade birthday cakes, sweet treats, and delicious desserts.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years Jason Pyatt, two handsome young sons: Ethan Alexander Pyatt (19) and Zachary Evan Pyatt (15); her sisters: Adriana (Arispe) Moore, Natalie Arispe, Kim (Linsenbardt) Brei, and Stephanie Payne; her brothers: Joe Arispe and Eric Linsenbardt; her mother, Paula Linsenbardt and her stepfather, Abbie Linsenbardt. She was preceded in death by her father, Danny Arispe.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at 4:00 PM followed by a dinner reception. Quonset Collierville - 178 S Center St. Everyone is invited, please RSVP at bit.ly/VanessaRSVP by April 7.
