Scott Newcomb

1952 - 2018

April 12, 1952 - September 10, 2018 Scott Newcomb of Newport Beach, CA passed away from complications of Alzheimer's Disease on September 10, 2018 at the age of 66. He was born in Southern California to Barbara and Renfro Newcomb, and is survived by his three children Matthew of San Francisco, Taylor of San Luis Obispo and Hayley of Newport Beach, his former wife Tami of Newport Beach, and his sister Dennie Zantos of Huntington Beach.Scott, aka Newc,' was known for his strong faith, his love of family and friends, and his love of the outdoors - be that on the ski slopes, at sail, or riding waves. His many athletic accomplishments as an All-American and Captain of the Corona del Mar High School, University of Southern California and the US Water Polo teams are legendary, and he was esteemed and beloved by all that played with and against him. Scott enjoyed a long, successful career in real estate development/land acquisition and entitlement, and was a respected mentor to many in the industry. Scott was a devoted and loving Father, Son, Husband, Brother and Friend. A true gentleman, he was known for his kindness, lightheartedness, laid-back attitude and sweet and humble disposition.Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Scott's life at Marina Park Community Center, 1600 W.
