Anthony Cassini Obituary
Dr. Cassini was a truly devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Traditional Roman Catholic Church on Futura Ave. in Richmond for many decades. He held a deep passion for Christ and the Church and one of the many ways this manifested itself was in his philanthropy towards St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Dillwyn, Virginia. It is his hope that his legacy will be to aid in the continued growth and outreach of the Seminary.
A visitation will be held from 6-7 PM on Tues. March 22, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel, 251 Richneck Rd., Newport News VA 23608. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wed., March 23, 2022 at Our Lady of Fatima Traditional Roman Catholic Church, 5217 Futura Ave., Richmond VA 23231. Dr. Cassini will be interred on the grounds of St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary, 1208 Archbishop LeFevebre Ave., Dillwyn VA 23936 at 3:00 PM that afternoon.

We both worked at McGuire VAMC in Richmond, and dated until he moved to the shore. My Christmas letter was returned and it is with anguish I find that he died and no one told me!!! I will always love you, my Tony.

Intelligent, kind, caring..I always remember his interesting file system that I imagine must have worked well for him. Dr. C was always willing to help out where needed without hesitation. He was pleasantly upbeat and had the best laugh.

Heaven did gain an amazing angel!
Dr. Cassini was an amazing caring physician who treated a very special group of patients at the largest long term care SCI center in the VA.
He was kind and caring and worked very hard to listen to their wants and needs. Optimizing their quality of life. He was an advocate for his patients and partnered well with the other staff on SCI!
He was missed when he retired but his retirement was much deserved.
Happy to have served with you Dr. Cassini May you be in peace with your mother and other ones in Heaven.
