Ben, I can't believe it has been 2 years and 1 day since you left us...you are still so deeply missed and always will be. I've had the pleasure to see Casey quite a bit these past few months and I thank you for still watching over her as well. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you, or see your smile in my memories!

Ben,
I can't believe we've been without you for (2) years today. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you and miss your hugs & smiles. Thanks for looking over us, especially Casey. I love you and miss you so much Ben.

Ben,
I was thinking about you last night. You would be graduating in a few weeks, you know. I just wanted to let you know that I think of you and I miss you a lot. We all love you so much, and we'll never forget you or the lessons you've taught us. I know everything happens for a reason, and I think I'm getting closer to understanding it all, although I don't think any of us will ever fully understand. We just keep faith and trust in God, and that's all we can do I guess. Look down and keep us safe, Ben. You and your family are always in my heart and prayers.

To the Wilson Family:
I've known Ben since about 6th grade. First thing that caught my eye was his smile. He could light up a room. Even though we weren't really friends, we knew each other. Now you come to another heartache and loss. I'm very sorry to hear about your son Blake. Although I didn't know him, if he was anything like Ben, I'll bet he was an awesome guy. I'm not going to say I know how you feel because I don't know how it feels to lose 2 loved ones so close, but I do know that although it seems wholely unfair, the Good Lord has his reasons for everything. We may not be able to see it through pain and tears, his plans reveal themselves in mysterious ways. God bless your family, and you'll be in my prayers.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Wilson, Blake, & Scott,
I went to my Mom's for Thanksgiving and everytime I went out side I looked over there at your house and wonder how you guys are doing and if you were okay? I thought about Linsey too when I looked across the street. I still can't imagine what you are going through. I think about you all the time and miss Ben getting out of the way, playing B-Ball when I drive by to get to my Mom's. I know my brother Chris is still taking it hard, too. I hope all is well. Thinking of you!!!!

Benjamin,
Not a day goes by that I don't think of your smiling face and the happiness that you brought and still bring to Casey. I miss you so much. Thanksgiving was hard this year, not having you load up your "platter" at grandma's house. We laughed and tried to have a good time but it wasn't the same without you and your big smile.
I'm taking Casey on a cruise next week, Scott is going with us, I think we all need to get away this year. I want you to know that we are all going to find those "rice patty" hats like you wore in Nags Head this summer and wear them in your honor. It won't be the same without you though.
We all miss you and love you so much Ben. Your infectious smile and love will get us through the rough times. Miss you with all my heart.

I just wanted to send another message to you all and let you know that you are still in my thoughts and prayers...along with Ben, not a day goes by that I don't think about him. The other day I was at my parents house and found a karate bear that we had got together at Eckerd or something and it makes funny karate noises and I just laughed and smiled because of course it made me think of him. Take care you all and I hope to see you all soon.

Kim, Dale and family,
Our hearts and prayers are with you in this sad time. Our confidence is someday soon we will share time again with this precious life that our God graced us with for this short time. Hopefully his life testimony will be carried on as expressed in these joyous memories we read here. While they don't heal us they remind us of how we should look forward to touching lives as Ben did only yesterday. Smile on another and share life which is what Ben knew was his job here, as a tribute to him.

To the Wilson family..
I met Ben at chowan I was on the baseball team with him. He was an exceptional athlete but an even better person. He made my semester there a lot more enjoyable because of his attitude towards everything was always postive and even when he was down he did not let you know it because he always had a smile on his face. I learned things from him that i have and will continue to carry through my life. He will truly touched everyone in someway that he met and he will never be forgotten.

My dear Ben, how I miss you more everyday. There are no words in my heart except I love you and miss you. I always looked up to you. Your outstanding skills on the field was something that I strived for. I remember playing harder and trying to do my best when you would come to my games, I wanted to show you that I was good too! Your smile truly was great. In your pictures you look so alive and full of energy. My new favorite picture of you is the one kissing Casey, how sweet and tender. I can see the love that you two shared with each other. Your services were beautiful and touching. I cant help but think, I would not give one Ben for all the people in the world. You are very special to me. I know you knew that and I know you loved me as well. Thank you for leaving me with that. I love you so much.

Thank you for giving us such a wonderful son and brother who loved my daughter Casey with all his heart. All the years of happiness he brought us will forever be in my heart. Kim, thank you for being Casey's other mom, she loves you very much. And Scott, thank you for taking such good care of Casey during this difficult time, you've been wonderful. There are no words of comfort that I can offer in this situation. The death of a child at any age is a tragedy that no parent should endure. I am proud to be able to claim Karen as one of my closest friends and carry Casey's picture in my wallet even though our visits have been few. I've learned of Ben through Karen's stories and reports on their vacations together. She loved the love between Ben and Casey. Ben obviously had a beautiful spirit that I know has made the heavens brighter the past few days. May God bless your family during this time and beyond.

A ROADRUNNER FOREVER
When we heard the news we all quivered and shivered.....
We wonder why God chose you.....
We walked around campus and out to the baseball diamond remembering you.....
No matter what they say, it is still the same.....
Only you could fill the empty void we feel in our hearts.....
We all know you are okay and feel no pain.......
But with each passing day.......
We say a prayer asking God to take care of you.....
Your Roadrunner teammates miss you and love you like a brother.....
So in our hearts is where you will stay.....
Until we meet again in Heaven someday on God's baseball field!

We are neighbors, in that we live in the same complex. We wave and exchange pleasantries as we walk by as neighbors often do.
We are so very sorry for your loss. Nothing that anyone can say will ever make up for the loss that you are undoubtedly feeling. We can not even begin to imagine what you must be going through.
Brandon Lee, my son was friends with both Ben and Casey. Even as an underclassman Brandon was accepted by both Ben and Casey and they all called each other friend. Ben and Casey would give Brandon, a freshman at the time, rides to school. Oh how cool was that, for a freshman to come pulling up to school with 2 seniors. Very cool for that freshman. In the words of Brandon, "Ben will be missed and not forgotten." Ben made an impression on so many people that he met and we hope that you will be consoled by your memories, the memories of others and the stories that you will hear in the future. Again we offer our sincerest condolences for your family and Casey.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Wilson & Family,
Words can't express our heartfelt sympathy for your family at this time. Even though we did not know Ben personally, our son did. He was the "other" Ben on Del Tech's baseball team. May God give you the peace and strength you need to face each day hereafter.

There wasn't enough of Ben Wilson to go around sufficiently to cover all his talents. When we first moved to York County in the summer of '99, our son Cody, a classmate of Ben's, wound up on his county rec soccer team. Ben's obituary didn't note his soccer skills, but Ben was far and away the most talented player on THAT team as well. But he couldn't do it ALL, and so York Baseball's gain was soccer's loss. And now Ben's premature death is a loss to us all. Our sincere condolences to the Wilson family.

Dear Dale and Kim,
My deepest thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this most
difficult time. Although I did not know your son, I felt like I did just by reading all the wonderful things that people wrote about him
in the guest book. I can not say that I know how you feel, because I have never lost a child, I have a son and daughter whom I love dearly and I do not know what I would do. But like one person said, he now has wings and is watching over all of you. Dale, I have had numerous calls the past two days and I just want to say on
behalf of the York High School Class of l971 we are praying for
you , Kim, your children, Clyde and Shirley and Casey. There is a poem which says " God only loans our children to us and can take them home, to be with him at any time"
The lord has a special purpose for Ben. May god watch over you and heal your hearts, and remember. God
takes us through one day at a time.
God Bless you

It is my understanding that that is the case with your family decision to donate Benjamins organs. You are to be commended for your unselfish action in a time of extreme pain and emotions and in time will see the amazing results of your decision.
May God bless and keep you in his tender care in the comming days and weeks.

Dear Mr & Mrs Wilson, family, and Casey...
Some of you, or none of you may remember me, however, Ben Wilson was my best friend in elementary school and was the only one to welcome me when I first moved into the neighborhood. Although we grew in seperate directions, I always held a great deal of respect for Ben, and I watched him grow up in the same environment. He was an Excellent athlete, and I would often be envious of the stories I would hear about him. Ben Wilson was a friend to everyone, he as well as the people who were close to him, will remain in my prayers.
Sincerely Yours,
Kevin M. Reynolds

Our family is so very sorry for the tragic loss of Ben. Lonny is our son,Ben's roommate-I wish to let Bens' family know that my son is in college because of Ben-his influence directed my son to Delaware Tech to develop a higher education-I can't thank Ben enough for the goodness of his soul and the lives he touched,he deeply left impressions on ours and my son's. God Bless you all and may you find peace in the good deeds your wonderful son has accomplished in his young life. My son's life has been blessed by Ben and will be a lasting treasure he holds in his heart. Thank-you Ben from the Mom who's son you touched so profoundly-May your crown in heaven have many jewels that shine brightly your goodness.

Ben was my next door neighbor that was always the nicest person to me, even when i had no friends when I moved from Germany. The memories that stick out most in my head were the times we played basketball. No matter how bad I was at it, he would always try to help me get better at it. He was a good man, he will be missed.

I met Ben when he came into York High School as a Freshman, I was a Senior. He was the sweetest kid on the basketball team and I know that many will agree with me. Ben will be missed greatly!
