Caroline Goss Obituary

CHICAGO - On August 15th, Caroline Goss left this world and now stands in the presence of The King! While she spent the last four years in the home of her daughter, Karen Johnston and husband Mitch, in Chicago, she spent 25 years in Hampton Roads, and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Her children witnessed her selfless spirit, starting each day finding ways to make someone else's life better. She had a gift of writing and so often touched others through her cards and letters with words of love and encouragement. With challenges in life that would leave many discouraged, she remained content and strengthened because of her faith in the Lord. She will be missed more than words can express, but we are thrilled that she is now rejoicing in heaven! Caroline Goss is survived by four of her five children, Jack (Connie), Mike (Ruth), Karen Johnston (Mitch) and Laura Keithley (Jim), and is now reunited with her husband Jack and son, Jimmy. She loved and was loved by the Keithley family and shared special relationships with her granddaughters, Megan Keithley Cobb and Sarah Keithley Grunstra, and grandson, Michael David Goss. Her life will be celebrated at a later date with family and friends.

Laura, Jim and all family,
We were so sorry to read about your mom. Although her name didn't "ring a bell,", her picture did. We remember meeting her many years ago and how personable, and how much fun she was...and we remember her laugh and big smile. Losing parents had to be one of the toughest things that we have to go through in this life. Cherish all of your happy memories over the years. All of you will be in our thoughts and prayers during this time.
Love,
