Not a day goes by where I don't think about you. I miss you terribly and wish you were still here with us. You were the best big brother I could of asked for. My heart still hurts that you got taken away to soon. I wish I could bring you back or maybe make a phone that could reach heaven and talk to you. To the Parents of David,Gary and Diane Burgess,and sister Tiffany,and all family members,Friends. Our deepest sympathy is with each. Phil and I,Darlene De Costa knew David for a short time,by Emily introducing Phil&I to David. We started talking to David as If we had known David for-ever. Very friendly young man,he was,and polite. When we lose a loved one,It is very hard to express feelings of another. The hurt and pain that goes through our bodies,our minds,as If ones heart has been ripped out. Memories,now is all that is left. God knows our hurt,our anger,our whys. Some how we seem to hold on. Time,remember those good times we hold on to. With God,we find a way to take one day at a time. Dear David,Such a short time,Phil&I,Darlene De Costa knew you. We seemed very comfortable the day Emily introduced you to Phil&I. I thought the two of you made a perfect couple. Phil&I said Emily has such a nice Boy friend in her life. Emily was so happy. In the hospital,when Emily &you David had your first child together,I could see the love you&Emily had for each other. Your beautiful son&Emily's,the love you both had holding in your arms. You were like a match meant to be. David,Emily,Your together for-ever now. I still can not believe this is true. I pray a special Angel carried you both home. Just is not fair,two beautiful people to have to leave so young in age. I know your mom David,and Emily's Mom will take good Care of your precious one. We first met David when he joined Boy Scout Troop 454. It was soon apparent that David had a great personality and a quick mind. We tried to teach the boys to do their best despite the fact that "life ain't fair". We never imagined that it would be so unfair as to take this young man just as his life was unfolding. Diane and Gary, our profound sympathies. We only wish there were words that could ease your pain.

David "Oreo" was a good friend to my son and he will be truly missed. Over the years I have watched him and my son grow into men and I am so proud of him. I am deeply saddened that his son will not be able to get to know him. Rest in peace Oreo.

I only knew you through Emily, but the first time I met you, I knew you were a gentle soul. The few times I shared your company, you were such a pleasure to be around. My husband said it all when he told you that day at the picnic that you were always welcome at our house. He liked you very much too. We are both heart-broken to know you're gone. I just said this morning, that statement is very true, 'only the good die young.' I am very pleased to have met and known you, even if it was for just a little while. I hope where ever you are, that you are at peace and loved as much as I know you were loved here. I will never forget you.

I am so sorry for your lose of your son. I know Emily, but did not know David. I have lose two sons myself and know what you are going through right now.
