It brings a smile to my face sitting here reflecting on the blessed memories of Elder Shears & what joyous fellowship in services we had as we worshipped the Lord on one accord. He humbly accepted an invitation when I requested he be guest speaker at a men's day service in Newport News on Jefferson Ave. It was the first time I'd seen so many of his family members at one time who I could see gave him much love & support accompanying him to the service. I have missed his big genuine smile & him clapping his hands to songs of Praise giving Glory to God but I KNOW we shall all meet again soon in the presence of our Lord Jesus! Bless you Shears Family!

What a wonderful man! He was so humble and mild mannered. It was a joy to help him when he would come in our office. Unfortunately, I did not learn of his passing until today. I am so very sorry! He is in a much better place!

Hello Shears family & to Sister Barbara, I know the grief of losing a parent & still it's not easy to find the words to say at your time of loss. Please know that my prayers for your comfort & strength are continual, as I know God will uphold each of you as His perfect peace & love overshadows you. I will hold on to years of pleasant & joyous memories of your Dad as we praised our God together among many saints in many services, singing, shouting & dancing before the Lord!! One day we shall be gathered together again & so shall we ever be with the Lord! Be comforted in knowing this! :-)
