Edward Peeples Obituary

HAMPTON - Edward Peeples, 55, entered into eternal life on Sunday, June 27, 2004, at Sentara Careplex Hospital. He was a native of Jersey City, N.J., and lived in Hampton for 34 years. He worked as a Truck Driver at Veterans Administration Center in Hampton for 33 years. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was 1st Vice President of the National Association of Government Employees. Mr. Peeples was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Louise Peeples; three brothers and three sisters. He leaves his devoted wife, Gail Peeples of Hampton; daughter, Rozlyn Nicole Peeples of Hampton; brothers, William Coombs of Newport News, Emanuel Ellis (Lenora) of Hampton, Henry Peeples II (Evelyn) of North Carolina, Henry Peeples III of New Jersey, Warren Peeples of New Jersey, Clarence Peeples of Hampton; sister, Clovia Jackson (Albert) of Florida: mother and father in-law, Harry and Mary Cook of Hampton; three sisters-in-law, Glenda Hope of Newport News, Patsy Self (David) of Florida, Sheri Chapman (Thomas) of Newport News; host of nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends. Bishop Clarence Ricks will render a home going service at 11a.m. on Friday, July 2, at the Smith Brothers Funeral Chapel. Interment at Hampton Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble by 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Viewing will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Smith Brothers Funeral Home, Hampton – Phone: 723-4117.
