I never had the chance to meet Ms. Allman, although my grandmother Emma Elizabeth Sweat (now deceased) loved her very much and spoke about her often. I believe they worked together at the telephone company. Ms. Allman touched my grandmothers life in so many ways and I am thankful she had such a true lifetime friend.

Emma....was such a lovely person. I would visit her when my daughter lived on the street next to the Jamestown Apartments. Emma lived across the street from my great aunt Lena Wathan on 23rd Street. She also worked with my former mother-in-law @ the phone company. Emma will be missed by all who knew her. She was a very polished Christian lady.
