HAMPTON - Mr. Eric Wardell Hunter life abruptly ended on July 5, 2017. He was born to the late Edgar Wardell Hunter Jr. and Teresa Irene Walker. After high school he become a Boilermaker at Perdue University. Although the family is mourning his death a celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church, 1415 Big Bethel Rd. Hampton, VA. by Dr. Christopher C. Carter Sr., Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017 from noon - 6:00p.m. at C. C. Carter Funeral Home. Full obit at cccarterfuneralhome.com

Let me start out by saying, I have never seen a quarterback with your arm! I remember nobody wanting to catch warm-up passes from you in the gym before practice at Hampton High because you threw the ball too hard!! So sorry about what happened, we did not know Eric personally only from 7-11 and I remember him from HHS.I Followed him through his football season at HHS . I am an avid Crabber alumni and was so happy when he went to Perdue. May your hearts be filled with peace and believe that you will see him again one day. Our deepest sympathy.
