GILES SCULTHORPE Obituary
Giles was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Adams Sculthorpe and his parents, Giles Sculthorpe Sr, and Bessie Sculthorpe. He is survived by his son, Bret Sculthorpe and fiancée, Sandy Hodges; sister, Athleen Seburn; twin granddaughters, Molly and Emily Brawley and many special friends.
A Private Service will be held for immediate family. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.

Years pass by my friend but you will always be in my heart. I often remember things you taught me or conversations we had. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord Until we meet again my friend.

Carol (and any friends of Giles)- I hope you see this message. Giles was my grandfather - "Poppa." I remember when he told me that you had visited and brought him cookies. It meant so much to him and he so enjoyed seeing you! I remember him telling me well. Feel free to reach out if you want to chat about "Poppa." I miss him and Evelyn so, so much. I´ve been trying to get in touch with my dear friend. I had no idea of his passing. I visited him at his home just before Christmas 2020 to deliver a gift of cookies and we had a wonderful conversation. My heart is broken <\3 I had no idea this would be the last time I´d speak to him. I knew it was strange not to receive a birthday or Christmas card from him. He dearly loved his family. He was my shipyard Daddy and taught me so much about so much.

Giles was my first cousin. I visited him in September of 2019 and we talked on the phone several times since then. I went to call him today and learned of his death. I'm very saddened to learn of his passing.

So sorry to hear of your dad's death. I know you & your girls are really going to miss him. He & your mom were great neighbors. I remember the fish fries at their house, your dad's smile & he always had a story about his girls, Molly & Emily. If you're ever down at Lake Gaston, come by to see me.
