Isaiah McLean Obituary

HAMPTON - Isaiah, my very strong and pure angel, sent/entrusted to me on Jan. 23, 1984, and graced our family and whoever he met with his loving presence, was taken home to be with his Heavenly Father on June 6, 2008.
Isaiah was born with many difficulties and disabilities but it never stopped him from fighting past them or placing that 'Precious Kool Aide Smile' on his face that brightened and warmed everyone's days that stood in view of it.
Isaiah attended schools in Newport News and Hampton and graduated from Hampton High School in 2005. Isaiah loved music, 'all' kinds of music. He enjoyed his mother playing the guitar to him and later he enjoyed playing it for himself with his mother's assistance. Isaiah truly loved his sisters, brother, niece and nephews. He was totally cherished by us all.
Isaiah was preceded in death by his uncle, Archie Stanley; aunts, Tina Connors and Lucille Elliott; and cousins, Andre Huggins and Prinze N. Murray.
Isaiah is survived by his mother, Debra J. McLean; sisters, Tomeka McLean (Alonzo) and Jermale Cooper; brother, Todd D. Davis Jr.; grandmothers, Nina McLean, Thelma Sarvis and Anniemae Davis; godmother, Darlene Robinson; grandfather, Theodore McLean; godfather, Ned Massey III (Lora Jarrett); aunts, Peggy Spearman, Delois Newby (Steve), Francis Stanley, Linda Bass, Barbara Burgess (Etienne), Denise Harris (Joe), Marlene Davis (Lonzell), Pamela Holiday (Walter), Tara McLean, Aldrienia Huggins (Godfrey), Dollie Render and Anita James; uncles, Eddie McLean (Mary, Darlene), Patrick McLean (Alice) and Douglas Sessoms (Darlene); nephews, Jason J. Davis Jr., Demetris A. Kelly, Stanley Cooper Jr. and Corey Cooper; and niece, Zenia Cooper.
Viewing will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at O.H. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 3009 Chestnut Ave., Newport News, VA 23607, and the funeral will be held at noon Friday, June 13, at the funeral home. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

Debbie sorry to hear about the loss of your son Isaiah. I'm sure he was an inspiration to all who knew him. Where some parents would have given up, God gave you the strength to carry on. That same strength will see you through your loss. God Bless and stay strong.
