Katherine Witcher Obituary

GLOUCESTER - Katherine V. Witcher, 52, died Dec. 31, 2008, at University of Virginia Hospital.
Katherine was a devoted mother to her children and she was "mom" to all who entered her home. She was greatly loved by her children and will always be remembered.
She is survived by four children, April Dawn August, Joseph Brandon Witcher, Richard E. Witcher Jr., Joshua Shane Witcher; two brothers, Donald Stuart Vansant, Jay Franklin Vansant; sister, Sue Vansant Juanarena; and five grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service, officiated by the Rev. Ken Cramer, will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 4 until 5 p.m., at the funeral home. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

Dear Family: I am so lost for words...My heart goes out to all of you. I have known your mother since 1966, we go back a long way. She was a great mother and loved all of you. April, I remember the day you were born, she was so happy. My deepest sympathy to you all. I know she will be greatly missed. May God Bless you all.

Dear Sue And Stuart,
It has been many years, but I have never forgotten your family. i saw Kathy mant times at Wendy's.I am like Rohnoda and Cheryl , in shock..she was my first friend when we moved here in 1966.I will miss her very much. Kathy and Ricky were both to young to die. God be with the their children.
