After his discharge, Larry moved to Newport News where he met his wife, Betty. Larry and Betty lived in Newport News until his death and were long time members of Deer Park Baptist Church.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Ruth Warfel, sister Beverly Warfel Perry, nephew Keith Perry, and stepson, Michael Duckett. He is survived by his daughters Sandra Warfel Stinnet (John), and Patricia Ann Warfel, stepdaughter Debra Duckett Reams (Chris), grandchildren Nicole Reams and Michele Reams, sister Shirley Warfel Schmidt and nephews Mike Perry, Bob Schmidt, John Schmidt and Steve Schmidt.

When Larry was a buyer for Munck Automation, I worked for one of his parts suppliers. Larry always was positive and a pleasure to work with. He was a good man. I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I attended Deer Park Baptist Church with Larry and Betty for many years. They were active participants and always were involved with many things at church to include vacation bible school. I actually remember him playing softball years ago. What fun we had! They were a wonderful, dedicated couple whom I had always looked up to.
