MARK SHIELDS Obituary
Mark was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Army National Guard Medevac unit serving Operations Desert Shield and Storm. He was a retired York County Firefighter/Paramedic. Mark strived to serve God, his family, his country, and his community.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Richard Shields and his brother Daniel Stephen. Mark is survived by his wife of 37 years Sharon Ann (Kendle) Shields, son, Branden Lee Shields (Jessica Kyger), daughter, Brianna Nicole (Shields) Ballard (David), mother, Patsy Ruth Anderson Shields, brothers, James Edward, Michael Kevin, John Joseph, David Archer, and sister Laura Leigh Godwin.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday May 21, 2022 in Amory Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made in memory of Mark to York County Fire and Rescue P.O. Box 532, Yorktown, Va. 23690.
