Phyllis Crutchman Obituary
She raised five children, Darlene Ingram (Brian Ingram), Rhonda Despinis, Zina Stokes (Garry Stokes), Donald Crutchman, Jr., and Nova Joi Crutchman, who will miss her but know they will see her in heaven one day. Phyllis had 14 grandchildren, Jenna Tate, Kenneth Ingram, Sean Aldrich, Daniel Gorden, Christopher Ingram, Jason Aldrich, Brandon Ingram, Corey Aldrich, Joshua Despinis, Ryan Despinis, Brylee Despinis, Kayla Stokes, Raymond Stokes, and Justin Stokes. She was blessed with 16 precious great grandchildren. They each love her dearly and will miss her so much. Other survivors include her siblings, Gayle Rakes, Jeff Whitt, Tommy Whitt and Joe Whitt and a number of nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was working at the family business, Crutchman Truck Accessories, Buildings, and Trailers, in Newport News where her contribution and presence will be missed daily.
Phyllis had friends of all ages. Everyone she met knew she loved Jesus and she was always happy to pray with anyone in need. She was full of spirit and had a great sense of humor. Phyllis was creative and artistic. She loved her sweet dog, Phoebe, fall leaves, snow, mountains, sparkly things, animal prints, knitting, crocheting, and Elvis.
The visitation and funeral service will be on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the World Outreach Worship Center, 1233 Shields Road, Newport News, VA 23608. Visitation is 11:00-11:30 AM with the funeral service immediately following. The graveside service will be private.
