Samuel JONES Obituary
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn M. Jones.
He is survived by his three sons, Sam Jones Jr., of Isle of Wight, Richard K. Jones, of Newport News, and Douglas Harold Jones, Kirkville, Mo.; his sister, Mary Frances Alexander of South Carolina; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at Weymouth Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at Weymouth Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Cliff Jordan and the Rev. Carter Love with interment to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

Boys, I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I'm so glad he got to be at the FFWB Church Reunion on 2 Oct. Nina Braswell and Mary Jones gave him a ride and he seemed to enjoy himself. He made sure he saw daddy and mom!! Good memories of both your mom and dad. We love you! Lord be especially close during this time!

I am sorry to hear of your Dads passing. I have always had fond memories of both your Mom and Dad. You are in my thoughts during this trying time. Please rest assure and keep the memories of him in your heart. That will get you thru. My mom is there for you if you need her. Just stop by and she will be the shoulder you need.

Dear Sammie, Richard & Doug, May the Lord comfort you in this time of sorrow. Your dad was a very special person and I know that he is not suffering anymore. Our Mother will miss him a lot.
