Stephanie Moore Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Stephanie Lauren Moore came into this world on February 12, 1988. Though she had a rocky start it life she grew into a young woman who more than anything wanted to be loved and to love others. Her greatest desire was to "fix" everyone she came into contact with and help with any problems they may have had. This desire to help others led her to become a school bus attendant working with special needs students with Newport News Public Schools. Stephanie died in her sleep on October 11th, 2016. She leaves behind her parents, Thomas and Sharon Moore as well as a brother Aaron Moore and his fiancée, Rachael Moskalski. She is survived by her paternal grandparents, Charles and Mickey Moore as well as her maternal grandfather William Adkins. She will be missed by her uncles Kevin Moore, Joseph Moore, Opie Baker and Paul Adkins and her aunts Myra Moore and Carrie Adkins. There are also many cousins and friends who will continue to carry on her memory. Services for Stephanie will take place at Peninsula Memorial Park on Saturday October 22nd, 2016 at 2:00 PM.

4 years and it feels like I am just waking up to the terrible news...

She was my grandniece, and like many others, she will be missed, deeply. She liked to take walks, and to chat about just about anything. Of the many things remarkable about Stephanie, as a child, she loved to hunt for quarters or other change in your car. I would "plant" change for her, knowing full well that this would be something she would ask for. Stephanie had the "gift" of not being subject to sun burn, or so my sister told me. That proved to be an issue one time for her, and for Aaron, her brother. I am pleased that she found a measure of good employment and served the school system for the kids of that system in Newport News.

Stephanie was a very good friend to me, i was in a tough place with things that were going on in my life, and all she did was listened when i talked, and gave me the advice which for the most part i took but i never got the chance to thank her once i had moved away, so Stephanie thank you for everything you have done for me, and i will miss you from the bottom of my heart

Stephanie was such a sweet person and a really dear friend. I did not know her for long, but when I really needed a friend to talk to when I was going through a rough time, she was one of a few friends that was able to talk to me and make me feel better. Stephanie, you will be dearly missed, and I will never forget you!
