William Fitzgerald Obituary
He is survived by the love of his life, Maggie Fitzgerald of Newport News, VA; daughter, Mary Anne Sanford; son, William Coradine; step-daughter, Lynn Fields and her family, and his two brothers, Robert Fitzgerald, Gary Fitzgerald, and their families. He faithfully attended Congregation Zion Sake.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on July 8, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Congregation Zion Sake, 1233 Shields Road, Newport News, VA.
Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601.

As a kid, nobody had more fun than Billy-I grew up with him and he was everywhere. Stuart Gardens was his playground and he knew every boy and girl that lived there. He had more ups than downs and was fun to be with. He truly never met a stranger, God Bless You, Billy.

A really special guy. Sherri and I were shocked to hear the news. I had seen him many times recently. To say he will be missed is an understatement. I was sorry to hear about Bill. I remember him from our days at NNHS. I also had several discussions with him when he was on the city of Newport News council. Bill was well liked and respected. I pray our Lord will ease the families pain of his loss.
