Kevin L. Baker Kevin L. Baker, 58, of Ruckersville, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014, at his residence. He was born April 9, 1956, in Salamanca, New York, and was the son of the late Donald A. Baker. Mr. Baker was employed at Don's Florist and Gifts in Charlottesville and was a member of the Stanardsville United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Campbell Baker of Ruckersville; mother, M. Marlee Hackett Baker of Charlottesville; son, Seth Charles Baker and fiancee, Melanie Pearce of Stanardsville; brothers, Kurtis Lynn Baker and fiancee, Mary Smith of Eastaurora, New York, Kelly Lewis Baker and wife, Elizabeth "Beth" of Stanardsville; sister, Kristy Louise Stives of Charlottesville; grandchildren, Avery K. Drumheller, Aliyah Laine Baker, and Peanut due in May. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014, followed by the funeral at 7:30 p.m. at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison. The Reverend Charles S. Winner will officiate. An interment will be held at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Bolivar, New York at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, or the UVA Hope Cancer Center at Pantops, 590 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 175, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
