Ruby Virginia Carver, 83, of Stanardsville, VA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Grace Health and Rehab. She was born on February 4, 1933 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Manis and Anna Shifflett.She is survived by her 10 children, Phyllis and Winston, Wanda and Fred, Debbie and Steve, Karen and Sam, Barbara, Timmy, Dickie, Elvis and Michelle, Clarence "PeeWee" and Jennifer, and Jeffery; her siblings, Manis and Geraldine, Jimmy, Joyce and Kenny; 29 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many, many nieces, nephews, family and friends that she adored dearly along with Timothy Paul.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Roy Nelson Shifflett; her 2nd husband, Grady Carver daughter, Paula Sue Shifflett; sisters, Bertha Morris, Lena Hunt, Lizzie Morris, Betty Marshall and Dorothy Shifflett; and her grandson, Tristan Roach.The family will receive friends on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home.Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Grace Health and Rehab for their loving care.An online guestbook is available at www.ryanfuneral.comRyan Funeral Home of Ruckersville, VA is handling the arrangements.
