Clara Anne Ressler Wagner

Clara Anne Ressler Wagner, 84, of Palmyra, died on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at her home. She was born on April 18, 1931, in Mechanicsburg, Pa., a daughter of the late Frank Britton and Anna L. (Cocklin) Britton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Marlin C. Ressler.Mrs. Wagner was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and seasonal decorating. She was a member of Mohler Dunkard Brethren Church in Mechanicsburg, Pa.Survivors include her husband, Ray Wilson Wagner; three children, Stephen K. Ressler and wife, Bonita, Cheryl L. Pifer and husband, Jonathan, and Susan L. Newcomer, all of Pa.; six grandchildren, Laurel, Melanie, Jennifer, Alyssa, Broc, and Braden; five great-grandchildren; seven step-children, Gary Wagner and wife, Ethel, David Wagner and wife, Gina, Sharon Bragg and husband, David, Joseph Wagner, Lois Ruhlman and husband, John, Sr., Michael Wagner and wife, Vonita, and Mark Wagner and wife, Anah, all of Palmyra; 19 step-grandchildren, and 24 step-great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2015, at Thacker Brothers Lake Monticello Funeral Home. Words of remembrance will follow at 7 p.m.Funeral and graveside services will be held next week in Pennsylvania, where she resided for most of her life.The family's great appreciation goes out to Hospice of the Piedmont for their excellent services, as well as to her willing and capable caregivers, Mary, Jackie, Patsy, Kelly, Jen and many others.
