DeCanio J. Obituary

Anthony "Tony" J. DeCanioTony DeCanio, age 40, of Redondo Beach, Calif. died on Thursday, June 30, 2016. Born on July 9, 1975, he was son of Cynthia and Rudy DeCanio of Rapidan.He was a graduate of OCHS, 1993, and Lynchburg College, 1998. He worked as a sales rep for inVentivHealth in Los Angeles, Calif.Tony embraced life; he was charismatic and well loved by his friends and family. He had a curious mind, and could and would talk for hours about the nature of the universe and the human experience. He enjoyed working out, playing basketball with friends, talking sports, watching sports, hanging out, and generally living the Southern California lifestyle. His true passion was caring for and training dogs, particularly boxers. He was a dedicated volunteer and gifted trainer at Boxer Rescue Los Angeles.He is survived by his parents, Cynthia and Rudy DeCanio; his brother, Matt DeCanio; and his dog, Buddy.A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016,at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Rapidan.Donations may be made in Tony's name to Boxer Rescue L.A. www.boxer-rescue-la.com/decanio_memorial.html or 17514 Ventura Blvd. Suite 201, Encino, CA 91316.
