February 13, 1947 - November 18, 2021
Diann Elizabeth Bishop, 74, of Fluvanna County, Va., died on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at UVA Medical Center.
Born on February 13, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Robert "Jack" Pace and Grace Goodson Pace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Buck Pace and Wayne Pace; and her beloved dog, Bandit.
Diann worked at a variety of retail establishments and with the Department of Corrections. She had good family and friends. Diann had a great memory and a giving heart, always making sure people had what they wanted. She put people at ease.
She battled hard to survive cancer, but God had a plan to relieve her from her pain.
She is survived by her son, Carter Bishop (Sheila); love of her life, Charles Poindexter; sister, Barbara Chambers (Bobby); brothers, Bobby Pace (Becky) and Stanley Pace (Tia); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Salem United Methodist Church cemetery in Palmyra, Va., with her nephew, Bobby Loving, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
