Dodson Kathleen Nichole Palmer

Kathleen Nichole Palmer-Dodson, 17, of Aroda, Va., passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Bray and Judith Dodson; paternal grandparents, William and Beatrice Palmer; and an aunt, Teresa Stokes. Kathleen graduated from Madison County High School in 2018 and was president of the Madison FFA Chapter for the 2017-2018 school year where she excelled in public speaking and hippology. She was an avid horseback rider with a heart of gold, a healing hand, and a drive to help others. She is survived by her parents, Kenneth Joseph Palmer of Ruckersville, Va. and Bessie Lynn Dodson; brother, Bray "Eddie" Lamb; sister, Heather Dodson, all of Aroda, Va.; paternal step-grandmother, Theresa Palmer of Kissimmee, Fla.; aunts and uncles, Michele and Edward Lawrence of Fleishman, N.Y., Marybeth and Joe Temple of Toms River, N.J., Michael and Jill Palmer of Jackson, N.J., Timmy and Monica Dodson of Radiant, Va., Elizabeth Thomas of Gordonsville, and Annette Dodson of Aroda, Va.; many cousins, relatives and friends; and her favorite pets, Lady, Pepper, and Gizmo. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison, Va. with interment at Madison Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the funeral home.
