Rachel L. (Serber) Duncan, age 33, of Charlottesville, Va., formerly of Plymouth, Minn., died on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Rachel was Principal Trumpet of the Charlottesville Symphony. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Grace and Jacob Serber and Joan Spanjers. She is survived by husband, Gregory Duncan; parents, Michael and Julie Serber; brother, David (Miriam) Serber; niece, Arielle; grandfather, Leo Spanjers; mother and father-in-law, Judy and Darrel Duncan; sister-in-law, Allison Duncan and brother-in-law, Bill Niemeyer; and niece,Tessa. A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Bet Shalom Congregation, in Minnetonka, Minn. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mental Health Services at Minneapolis Jewish Family & Children's Service, or the donor's favorite charity.
