We knew Kay when she attended the Charlottesville Church of the Brethren years ago. We have numerous fond memories of good times with Kay, Hugh, and their children-especially Leslie and Jonathan Frye, who were likewise active young adults in our congregation. They were active, joyful participants in the choir, drama productions, VBS, and our many social events. They brought a special magic to everything they did, and touched the lives of the congregation and community. Our sincere condolences to her beloved family-may the special memories, good times, and love you shared with Kay sustain you in your loss.

My sympathies to the family. I met Kay back in the early 90´s when I was trying to find a home for a German exchange student, Cuong. He was literally flying over here when his planned family bailed. Someone suggested that I call Kay and see if they could host him. She immediately said yes and we flew through the paperwork to make it all official. We got together with our students several times that year. She was a very kind, generous woman. I´m glad to have crossed paths with her.
