Harry Fisher Obituary

Harry Clinton Fisher, Jr. of Greenwood, died peacefully at his home Tuesday, June 27, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was born on December 20, 1940, in Albemarle County, to the late Harry Clinton Fisher, Sr. and Virginia Merle Hicks Fisher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Kenny, Ray, and Carroll; and his son-in-law, Danny Collins.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 62 years, Carolyn; his five children, Melissa Collins of Charlottesville, Clinton Fisher and wife, Tessla, of Canton, Ga., Lynn Mallan and husband, Ed, of White Hall, Felicia Fisher of Greenwood, and Vicki Wright and husband, Richard, of Ivy; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Dameron of Troy, and Shirley Payne of Barboursville; three brothers, Roger and wife, Ellen of Barboursville, Mason and wife, Cindy, and Larry and wife, Jean, all of Earlysville; as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

In 1971, Harry dedicated his life to our heavenly father Jehovah God and spent many years sharing the good news of God's Kingdom and the promise of the resurrection with his neighbors.

The family would like to express special thanks to Harry's grandson Kenny Collins and bonus daughter Karen Mantione for the extraordinary love and care they showed to him in his final days. The family also gives many thanks to the care team of the Hospice of the Piedmont for their exceptional support.

Family will receive visitors at Teague Funeral Home, Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 3 until 5 p.m. with a viewing beforehand from 1 until 3 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Monday, July 10, 2023, at 2 p.m. Graveside services will be private.
