John "Doug" CorbinJohn Douglas "Doug" Corbin, 91, or Somerset, went to be with his Lord on March 22, 2016. He was born August 21, 1924, at Montpelier Station, Va. His beloved wife, Lee Anna McDaniel Corbin of 68 years, survives him.He loved his family, friends, and his animals. Mr. Corbin loved working on Waverly Farm in Somerset, where he worked for Mr. and Mrs. James N. Andrews for 33 years, and Mr. and Mrs. Theordorin Tieken for 30 years. His parents, sisters, brothers and his cat, "Miss Kitty," preceded him in death.In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Ramona Sacra and her husband, Raymond, and Paula Morris and her husband, Roger; two granddaughters, Michelle Shifflett, and Sherry Moon; grandson, Rodney Lawson; and one great-grandson, Douglas William Moon that he loved so much.Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville with Pastor James Waldorp officiating. Interment was private in Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and they would like to thank everyone that helped through his illness.Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Run Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1 Somerset, VA 22972
