William "Glenn" Brown

William "Glenn" Brown, 55, of Charlottesville, Va., died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at UVA Medical Center.

Born on March 2, 1965, in Charlottesville, Va., he was the son of the late Shirley Fincham Brown and Ammon "JR" Brown.

Glenn was predeceased in death by a nephew, Robert N. Jones and a niece, Heather N. Jones.

Glenn was a lifetime Redskins fan, enjoyed gambling, playing corn hole with his friends, watching wrestling and riding around in his Mustang, playing his music loud for everyone to hear. He really enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels on a daily basis.

He is survived by his sisters, Rebecca Harris, Sandra Herring and husband, Timmy, Cathy Brown, and Terri Jones; and a brother, Ammon Brown III, all of Charlottesville, Va., Patricia Brown and fiancé, Jerry Fitzgerald of Troy, Va., and Sherrie Brown and fiance, Gregory Lilly of Palmyra, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Hill & Wood Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. by appointment only. Call ahead at (434) 296-6148 to make an appointment.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Holly Memorial Gardens. Pastor Liz Emry will be officiating.

When he was 8 years old glenn had shoulder length hair he dressed up as a girl walked down to tastey freeze and the person working their asked if he was a boy or girl if he told them they would give him a free ice cream cone.
